Government
Moncton City Council, under the guidance of Mayor George LeBlanc and eight councillors representing the city’s four wards and two councillors at large, addresses the needs of the community through quality services including protective services, transportation, recreation and culture, grants and commissions, and public transit.
The City of Moncton operates under a Council/City Manager form of government. While City Council is the elected voice of the citizens and makes the major decisions, the city manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City and reports directly to City Council.
