Budget 2012

At the direction of Moncton City Council, the City of Moncton’s 2012 budget presentation and deliberation process has been realigned. As such, the new process separates the City’s budget into three components—Capital, Utility and Operating, rather than presenting and deliberating on these three components of the City’s overall budget all at once.    

One Taxpayer: Three levels of government

One taxpayer supports the services delivered by three levels of government. While the income taxes you pay fluctuates based on your income, property taxes—the only real source of revenue available to municipalities—does not.
