Councillor Pierre A. Boudreau

Pierre is serving his fifth term as Councillor at Large, after being re-elected in May 2016. He brings to his role on Council a background in law and a passion to grow an economically sustainable city.

Retired from practicing law in 2010, Pierre now devotes most of his time to Council work. He is known for meticulously researching before decision making on Council issues.  Key areas of focus for him are sustainable economic growth and proper maintenance and upgrades to the city’s infrastructure assets.

Pierre’s interest in politics came at an early age as he served as president of the student council École Vanier. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Université de Moncton in 1972 and then a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1975.

Pierre and his high school sweetheart, Rita, married in 1973. They are the proud parents of two adult children and grandparents of Emilie and Cédrick Alexandre Boudreau. When he is not serving residents of Moncton, Pierre enjoys reading, cycling and photography.
