Committee Participation
If you are interested in volunteering on one of the committees, please complete the Participation on City of Moncton Boards, Commissions & Committees Application Form and return it to the Mayor’s Office for consideration. There are currently no opennings but applications will remain on file.
Committee Meetings
Committee meetings of Moncton City Council are open to the public and are held, with a few exceptions, at City Hall (655 Main Street, Moncton). Most committees meet monthly, however some have quarterly sessions or meet as the need arises. Agendas are posted on this site on the Friday prior to the meeting.
Due to the fact that most committee meetings take place in a more informal setting where space can be limited, citizens or media who wish to attend a meeting must register in advance by e-mail or by calling 506-853-3550.
Language Interpretation
As committee meeting participants may speak in their language of choice, members of the public and media requiring interpretation must register their request 48 hours in advance of the meeting by contacting the City Clerk's Office. Due to the setting, consecutive interpretation (précis of discussion in alternate language at intervals during the meeting) rather than simultaneous translation will be provided. In the event a presentation is made to a committee, the choice of language will be given to the presenter.
