Information Systems
The Information Systems department provides leadership, direction, and administration for the City of Moncton’s information systems, applications and technical infrastructure. The group also develops, recommends and implements technology strategies for both administrative and operational information systems for all City departments, boards, commissions and agencies.
The group provides three main areas of services:
Information Systems - Strategy
The area of Information Systems Strategy aligns both the Business Solutions and Technology and Infrastructure groups toward a common, unified approach to the corporate Strategic Plan. Budgets and work plans are established within this responsibility and are communicated within the corporation.
Information Systems - Business Solutions
The Business Solutions group is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of secure information systems designed to address the needs of the corporation, by ensuring optimum utilization of human and systems resources.
Information Systems – Technology and Infrastructure
The Technology and Infrastructure group is accountable for the operation, performance, maintenance, acquisition, and enhancement of the City of Moncton’s computer processing, personal computer, and data communications infrastructure.
