Atlanticade and RibFest Road Closures and Detours

 

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate Atlanticade Festival and the Rotary RibFest happening from Thursday, July 2 to Sunday, July 5, in downtown Moncton. 

Street Closure 1 (6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 2) Main Street will be closed, from Sommet Lane to Mechanic Street, leaving the intersections of Main/Sommet and Main/Mechanic open. Also, Botsford Street will be closed, from Main Street to Queen Street, leaving the intersection of Botsford/Queen open; and Downing Street will be closed, from Main Street to Sommet Lane, leaving the intersection of Downing/Sommet open.

Street Closure 2 (6 a.m., Friday, July 3, to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 5)
The east-bound lane of Assomption Boulevard will be closed from Lutz Street to Mechanic Street, leaving the west-bound lane of Assomption Boulevard and the intersections of Assomption/Lutz and Assomption/Mechanic open.

Street Closure 3 (6 p.m. to midnight, Friday July 3; again from 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, July 4)
Assomption Boulevard will be closed from Westmorland Street to Mechanic Street, leaving the intersections of Assomption/Westmorland and Assomption/Mechanic open.

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages travellers to check out the events (motomoncton.ca).
