Canada Day: Road Delays and Detours

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate the City of Moncton’s Whoa Canada celebrations, Sunday, July 1st.

The closure will be executed in three parts:

Main Street from Mechanic to Downing will be closed from Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, leaving intersections at Main/Mechanic and Main/Sommet open to traffic.

Main Street closure will then extend from Mechanic to Sommet including the closure of Botsford Street Monday, July 1 at 7 a.m. until 3a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, leaving intersections at Main/Sommet open to traffic.

Main Street closure will then extend from Mechanic up to Alma Street on Monday, July 1 at 4 p.m. until 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, leaving Main/Mechanic and Main/Alma open to traffic.

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages residents and visitors to check out the events.
