Colin James Headlines Canada Day Festivities in downtown Moncton!

June 4, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton is thrilled to announce that Canadian rock legend Colin James will headline one of the biggest free outdoor Canada Day celebrations in Atlantic Canada: Whoa Canada!

James and his band will bring his brand of rock/blues to Moncton for Canada Day and will cap off a great day of festivities in the heart of our downtown. The Regina, Saskatchewan native and six-time Juno Award winner has had many chart topping hits during his successful 25 year career, including “Voodoo Thing”, “Chicks and Cars and the Third World War”, “Just Came Back”, “Keep On Loving Me Baby” and his latest hit “I Need You Bad”. “We are extremely excited to welcome Colin James to Moncton to headline our Whoa Canada! festivities, and to have such a diverse and strong line-up to offer on July 1st,” says Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc. “As an entertainment hub, Moncton is dedicated to growing its Canada Day program into something bigger and better each year, and 2013 is no exception.”

Joining James on Canada Day will be three-time Juno Award winners La Bottine Souriante. Formed over 35 years ago and now composed of 10 musicians, the Quebec folk band will bring their style of traditional music to downtown Moncton and attract the audience with their playful and friendly spirit.
