Construction of Grove Hamlet Park

May 28, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton would like to advise the public that construction of Grove Hamlet Park, along Ripplewood Road, will begin on Wednesday, May 29.

The new community park will contain new play equipment, a swing set, a sand play area and will incorporate an existing paved trail. The park will remain open to the public except for the area where the play equipment will be installed. Duration of the construction is expected to be approximately one month.

The City regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your patience during construction of the new park for the community.

This project is part of the overall Recreation Master Plan which was approved by Moncton City Council in 2010. The goal of the multi-year plan is to provide every community with public green space within five minutes walking distance of their front door.

For more information, please contact the City of Moncton’s Parks and Leisure Services department at 853-3516.
