Deadline for public comment on fluoride extended

February 7, 2017

MONCTON – The City of Moncton is extending the deadline for individual comments on the subject of fluoride in the City’s drinking water supply to February 28, 2017.

Those interested in submitting their thoughts and views on the topic can do so in writing at moncton.ca/fluoride.

City Council will review and consider all individual comments submitted online as well as information presented by special interest groups during a special Committee of the Whole meeting held on January 30, 2017.

The decision on whether or not to reintroduce fluoride in the municipal water supply has been moved to a later date, which is yet to be determined.
