Delays and Detours for 2017 Moncton Subaru Duathlon

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of possible delays and detours in the following areas to accommodate the 2017 Moncton Subaru Duathlon happening 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 4. 

One westbound lane of St. George Boulevard, from Sixth Street to Firebreak Road, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The bicycle portion of this event includes two loops of the following route: Departing from Centennial Park Rd., right on St. George Blvd., right on Edinburgh Dr., right on Killam Dr., right on Millennium Blvd., right on Vaughan Harvey Blvd., right on St. George Blvd., right on Centennial Park Rd.

Traffic lights at the intersections of St. George and Centennial, St. George and Bernice MacNaughton, St. George and Wheeler, Killam and Millennium, Vaughan Harvey and Millennium/John, and St. George and Sixth will all be set to ‘blink on yellow’ to accommodate for the cyclists. Motorists should treat these intersections as 4-way stops. 

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and encourages travellers to check out the events.
