MONCTON – From June 5 to 11 the City of Moncton is proud to celebrate Canadian Environment Week and is encouraging all citizens to participate. There are many ways to take action on protecting our natural environment; every effort counts! 

#EnviroMoncton on Facebook and Twitter
Show us how you reduce, reuse, recycle or take actions to preserve the planet! Post a picture of your ‘green deed’ with the hashtag #EnviroMoncton for a chance to win a prize. 

New Brunswick Parks and Trails Day
A healthy, active lifestyle is important and Moncton has many incredible outdoor spaces to enjoy.  So come find staff from the Parks and Leisure Services Department on the Riverfront Trail on June 5 from 1 to 4 pm.

Green Commute Challenge
Bike, walk, car pool or take the bus to work from June 6 – 10. Take the challenge and register your ‘green commute’ on moncton.ca for a chance to win a prize (only need to register once). 

From June 6 to 10, Codiac Transpo will be offering free services! Let’s move – in an environmentally friendly way!

World Environment Day
Canadian Environment Week is held during the first week of June to coincide with World Environment Day. This special day was designated by the United Nations in 1972 to stimulate action on the environment and empower people from every corner of the globe to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development.
