Extension of Road Closure on Main Street between Mechanic Street and Botsford Street

October 6, 2015

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public that the Main Street closure, between Mechanic and Botsford Street, will be extended into Wednesday, October 7 until 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route to avoid the construction area. A detour will be in place on Botsford Street, Queen Street and Lewis Street. The sidewalk on Main Street at Downing Street will also be closed to pedestrians. Codiac Transpo buses will use Botsford Street as a temporary bus stop to replace the City Hall and Blue Cross Building bus stops.

This street closure is necessary to upgrade sewer infrastructure for the Downing Street Restoration Legacy Project.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and the motoring public.
