August 2, 2017

MONCTON – The New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources currently has a fire ban in all counties across the Province of New Brunswick due to the extreme dry weather conditions.

The Moncton Fire Department is opting to follow the Provincial fire ban to ensure the safety of the public within our community. Effective immediately, all open fires within the City of Moncton are not allowed under any circumstances. This includes and not limited to backyard fire pits and camp fires within campgrounds.

The above open fire ban within the City of Moncton will remain in effect until further notice.
