Flooding situation update

MONCTON – The City of Moncton is monitoring several incidents of localized street flooding, including on West Main St. (closed near Jones Lake, between Givan Dr. and Westmount Blvd.); McLaughlin Rd (between Xavier Ave. and Valley Ranch Rd.); Elmwood Dr. (down to 1 lane in Irishtown Nature Park area – motorists are advised to use an alternate route); Jonathan Ave. (closed); and the on/off ramp on Wheeler Blvd & Crowley Farm Rd. (closed near UdeM).

The City is urging motorists to drive with extreme caution and to not attempt driving through flooded zones. Please call 853-2643 to report any major issues. Updates will be provided, primarily through social media: Facebook.com/cityofmoncton.villedemoncton and Twitter.com/CityofMoncton
