Keep Moncton Clean

April 19, 2017

MONCTON –The City of Moncton’s annual “Keep Moncton Clean” project begins April 22 (Earth Day) and goes until May 22, 2017, giving the opportunity for any group, organization, business, neighbourhood or individual to help clean-up our parks and trails.

“Earth day is a time to stop and think about our attitudes toward the environment and actions we can take to protect it.  Every effort counts and the Keep Moncton Clean project gives people a chance to take action and help protect our local, natural environment,” says Dan Hicks, Director of Parks Operations with the City of Moncton.

To participate, go to moncton.ca to choose one of the 26 zones identified to clean and submit the online form.  The City will provide a clean-up kit which contains gloves and garbage bags. Debris that is collected will be picked up by City employees once notified.

On Sunday, April 23 from 10 am to 4 pm, the City will have a booth at the Moncton Market for the “Go Beyond Earth Day” event.  Come to the free, family friendly event and visit the City’s booth to learn more about Keeping Moncton Clean!
