Lane reduction on Providence Street

February 24, 2017

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public that Providence Street, between Université Avenue and the entrance to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital’s Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre, will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, February 27 until Friday, March 24, weather permitting

The lane reduction is necessary to relocate a trunk sewer to allow construction of a new building in the Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital parking lot.

Only westbound traffic (from Université Avenue toward Highfield Street) will be permitted on Providence Street. Delays are to be expected in the area as traffic will be slowed.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and the motoring public.
