Lane reductions on Main Street between King Street and Assomption Boulevard

September 21, 2016

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public that Main Street, between King Street and Assomption Boulevard, will see lane reductions from 7 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, weather permitting.

Westbound traffic (toward downtown Moncton) will have two lanes open for the morning rush hour, while eastbound traffic (toward Dieppe) will have one lane open.  For the evening rush hour, two lanes will be open in the eastbound direction (toward Dieppe) and one lane in the westbound direction (toward downtown Moncton).  The remaining time, one lane will be open in each direction.

This lane reduction is necessary for asphalt paving of Main Street at the Steadman Street intersection. Delays are to be expected in the area as traffic will be slowed.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and the motoring public.
