New sport comes to Moncton

September 28, 2015

MONCTON – Looking for a fun new way to get active this fall? The City of Moncton, in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Moncton, is now offering Pickleball. The sport is suited for people of any age and skill level. Players use wood paddles to hit a ball over a net, similar to tennis and badminton.

Non-members of the YMCA can play for $2 during the following times:

Monday and Wednesday: 7:30-8:45 am
Thursday: 10 am – 12 pm
Sunday: 12:30 – 1:30 pm (Clinic for beginners on how to play the game)

Also, public swimming is available to non-members of the YMCA on Sundays from 2:30-4:30 pm for $2.

Come out and get in motion!
