Overnight winter parking restrictions

November 15, 2016

MONCTON – Snow will soon be here. With that, the City of Moncton would like to remind motorists of the upcoming restrictions to overnight parking on streets.

In accordance with the City of Moncton by-law T-310, it is not permitted to park a vehicle on any Moncton street from December 1st to April 15th between midnight and 7 a.m.

This measure is done on an annual basis to allow for adequate and safe snow clearing and ice control operations.

Non-compliant vehicle owners are subject to a fine and their vehicle could be towed at their expense. The City would like to thank its citizens for their understanding and continued support in making our streets safer through the winter season.

New Pilot Project
Beginning in January 2017, the City of Moncton will conduct a pilot project which will allow for possible overnight parking (between midnight and 7 a.m.) in the downtown area. Details of the pilot project will be available at a later date.
