Public Consultations for Two New Youth Projects

October 10, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton invites all residents to two public consultation meetings on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 to discuss two proposed projects for youth in the community.

The first meeting is at the Moncton Boys and Girls Club (15 Everett Street) at 6 p.m. to discuss the new Renton Skate Park, while the second meeting will take place at the Red Ball Internet Centre (55 Russ Howard Drive) at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the new CN Sportplexe Bike Park.

Residents will have an opportunity to re-work the conceptual design of both parks at each meeting through a webinar consultation with project designers Canadian Ramp Company. During these webinar meetings, changes to the park designs will be made in real time to allow residents to see the alterations as they go.

Then on Monday, October 21, 2013, residents are invited to meet with Canadian Ramp Company representatives in person at the Red Ball Internet Centre at 6:30 p.m. for the unveiling of the final designs.

The Renton Skate Park and the CN Sportplexe Bike Park are scheduled to be completed and opened for use in the Spring 2014.
