Road Closure for Jeux de la francophonie canadienne

July 10, 2017

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following area to accommodate a parade on July 11, as part of the Jeux de la francophonie canadienne being held in the region this week.

Street closure:

  • From 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017:
o The closure of Foundry Street from Record Street to Main Street will be in effect for participant drop-off and parade staging.
o The closure of Main Street, from Bonaccord Street to Mechanic Street, and the closure of Downing Street, from Main Street to Assomption Boulevard, will be in effect for the parade.

This street closure is for the Games’ Parade of Delegations which will precede the Official Opening Ceremonies taking place at Riverfront Park immediately afterwards. This is a full street closure with progressive reopening as the parade progresses.

The City of Moncton apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause; and invites residents and guests to take in this, and many other events being offered this summer.
