Road Closures – 2013 Greater Moncton Majesta Santa Claus Parade

November 22, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of the following street closures to accommodate the 2013 Greater Moncton Majesta Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 23.

  • Vaughan Harvey Boulevard from Millennium Boulevard to Assomption Boulevard will be closed from 1 p.m. until the end of the parade to allow for parade staging.
  • Main Street from Vaughan Harvey Boulevard to Champlain Street, Dieppe will be closed for the parade procession from 6 p.m. until the end of the parade.

In addition, Main Street parking between Vaughan Harvey Boulevard and Champlain Street, Dieppe will be closed beginning from 4 p.m. on Friday, November 22 until the end of the parade on Saturday, November 23. Any vehicles found parked on Main Street during that time will be fined and towed.

The parade route will begin at the corner of Main Street and Cameron Street and ends at the corner of Champlain Street and Paul Street in Dieppe. Onlookers who will be between Cameron Street and Vaughan Harvey Boulevard or around the corner on Paul Street in Dieppe will not see Santa Claus. To ensure the best experience, please dress for the weather, be there early, and find a spot along the parade route.

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages travelers to check out the parade.
