Road Closures and Detours – Collection of “Gifts of Condolences” for RCMP

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas due to a special RCMP ceremony to collect all the flowers, gifts, notes and other items that hundreds of people have left in front of and inside the Codiac Regional RCMP detachment in memory of Cst. Doug Larche, Cst. Dave Ross and Cst. Fabrice Gevaudan.

Closures for Sunday, June 15, 2014, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

  • Main Street closed from King Street to Assomption Boulevard (both intersections to remain open)
  • Steadman Street closed from Main Street to Queen Street (intersection at Queen Street to remain open)

Detours for Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

  • Westbound: King Street, Rabbi Lippa Medjuck Street, Steadman Street, Queen Street, Lewis Street
  • Eastbound: Lewis Street, Queen Street, Steadman Street, Rabbi Lippa Medjuck Street, King Street

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages residents to attend the ceremony.
