Road Closures and Detours – Legs for Literacy Marathon

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas due to the Legs for Literacy Marathon happening in the city this weekend.

Detours and closures for Sunday, October 27, 2013, from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:
• Main Street closed from Lutz Street to Assomption Boulevard (both intersections to remain open)

•  Mechanic Street closed from Main Street to Assomption Boulevard
 
Detours and closures for Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.:
• Partial closure of Main Street (East bound lane) from Assomption Boulevard to Moncton city limits at Hall’s Creek

• Full closure of Assomption Boulevard from Westmorland Street to Main Street

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages residents to encourage the athletes along the race route.
