Road Closures and Friday afternoon entertainment during Mosaïq Multicultural Festival

July 17, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton and MAGMA will be hosting the Mosaïq Multicultural Festival once again this year, on July 19 and 20 in downtown Moncton. As such, street closures will be in effect as follows:

CLOSURE 1: From 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 to 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 21;
Main Street from Sommet Lane to Mechanic Street (leaving both Sommet and Mechanic open to traffic)

CLOSURE 2: From 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 to 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 21;
Botsford Street from Main Street to Queen Street (leaving the intersection at Botsford/Queen open)

Friday afternoon entertainment
As part of the Mosaïq Multicultural Festival, various multicultural associations are invited to participate on the main stage at Moncton City Hall (655 Main Street).  This is an important piece of the festival as it engages our own multicultural community and works to inform our many citizens and visitors of the exciting things happening – right here at home!

This entertainment begins at noon on Friday, July 19 at Moncton City Hall. The City of Moncton will monitor the volume to ensure it is maintained at a reasonable level; however, those working in the downtown area in close proximity may hear some of the entertainment.

The City of Moncton apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and commits to ensuring that the volume does not reach a level that makes it difficult to work / perform regular duties.

The City of Moncton greatly appreciates the cooperation and patience of residents during this event.
