Road Closures during MotoMoncton

MONCTON - The City of Moncton is pleased to be hosting the 3rd Annual MotoMoncton Festival from Thursday, August 8 to Sunday, August 11, 2013. Main Street will become home to bikers from across the region and across the country for a weekend full of motorcycle madness in Downtown Moncton.

Street Closure Details:
To allow for the festivities to take place, please be advised that several street closures have been approved by Moncton City Council as follows:

CLOSURE 1: Main St., from Downing Street to Mechanic Street, on Thursday, August 8, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Stage delivery to City Hall). Street reopens after stage is delivered.

CLOSURE 2: Main St., from Mechanic to Lutz (leaving Mechanic Street and Lutz Street open), from Friday, August 9, at 7 a.m. until Sunday, August 11, at 3 a.m.

CLOSURE 3: Botsford Street, from Main Street to Queen Street (leaving Queen open) from Friday, August 9 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, August 11 at 3 a.m.

CLOSURE 4: War Veterans Avenue, from the first entrance of the YMCA parking lot to Flanders Court, on Sunday, August 11, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and also encourages residents and visitors to check out the events.
