Road Closures for the Acadie Rock Festival

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate Acadie Rock Festival events.

 

Street Closures:

From 6 p.m. on Friday, August 14, to 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, and again from 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, to 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 16, the eastbound lane of Assomption Boulevard (between Westmorland Street and Mechanic Street) will be closed, leaving the westbound lane and the intersections of Assomption/Westmorland and Assomption/Mechanic open to traffic.

 

Parade Route Closure for the Tintamarre:

From 5:45 p.m. until approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, progressive closure of the following parade route:

Leaving Aberdeen Cultural Centre Park using southeast corner of park onto Botsford Street (at St. George Street intersection);
Down Botsford Street;
Turning right onto Main Street (west);
Turning left onto Westmorland Street (south);
At very end of Westmorland, enter Riverfront Parking Lot (location of event).
* Security staff will reopen the street as the parade progresses. *

 

Noise By-Law Exemption: 

A Noise By-Law exemption has been granted for both the Friday and Saturday evening concerts (from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.) at Riverfront Park on Assomption Boulevard.

 

The City of Moncton apologizes for any inconvenience these street closures may cause, and thanks residents and visitors for their collaboration. The City also invites everyone to come enjoy this great festival.
