Road Delays and Detours – Moncton Subaru Duathlon

MONCTON - The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate the 2014 Moncton Subaru Duathlon happening 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1st, 2014.

There will be a partial lane closure on St. George Blvd for 100 meters on both sides of Centennial Park Road from which cyclists will be departing. The bicycle portion of this event includes two loops of the following route: Centennial Park, west on St George Blvd to Edinburgh Drive, right from Edinbugh to Killam Drive, east on Killam, enter roundabout and exit at Collishaw Street, east on Collishaw, turn right on to Vaughan Harvey Blvd, South on Vaughan Harvey turn right on to St. George Blvd – west to Centennial Park.

Traffic lights at St. George and Centennial, St George and Bernice MacNaughton, St George and Wheeler, Killam and Millennium Blvd, Vaughan Harvey Blvd and Millennium Blvd/John St and St George and Sixth will all be set to flash to accommodate for the cyclists.

The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages travellers to check out the event.
