Ski trail updates in Centennial Park

January 23, 2015

MONCTON – The City of Moncton would like to advise Centennial park users of some recent updates to help improve the safety and etiquette on the trails. Based on feedback received from a public meeting that was held on January 12, the City has implemented the following:

  • Appropriate signage has been installed on the ski trails indicating courtesy and safety rules;
  • Ambassadors will be skiing through the trails to help educate ski trail users on the rules.
  • There will be a ski trail etiquette hand-out available at the Centennial Outdoor Centre from ski hut #130 on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • A new track has been laid for a trial period. Feedback on the new track is encouraged and can be sent to parksandleisure@moncton.ca (with “ski” in the subject line).

The City thanks residents for being considerate on the trails!
