Sliding at Centennial Park

January 7, 2016

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise residents that the hill off the main parking lot in Centennial Park will no longer be maintained as a sliding hill. Due to safety and accessibility issues, the hill will now be plowed and maintained as an access trail.

By removing the ability to use this area as a sliding hill there is less potential for injury and it allows for better access to the paved trail around the oval, especially for those with mobility challenges.

Downhill sliding will still be available at Centennial Park at the bottom of the access trail (across from Kiwanis Centennial beach, at the bottom of the Écureuil trail).

The City appreciates the cooperation of residents and encourages everyone to play safely!
