Software upgrade limits customer services

MONCTON – The City of Moncton wishes to advise residents that it will be upgrading key customer service software from November 8 to 12, 2013 and certain services will not be offered by the Building Inspection Department and Revenue Office.

Specifically, the Revenue Office will not be able to accept, process or verify any taxi permit requests. All other services, such as water bill payment, will be offered.

The Building Inspection Department will essentially be closed on Friday, November 8, as it will be unable to:
• Process any permit requests (including status updates)
• Process any inspection or review requests
• Query any in-progress files
• Generate any forms (ex. Building Permit Applications)

This major software upgrade will enhance customer service functionalities. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of its customers.
