Summer IN MOTION

MONCTON – June is Recreation and Parks month and we want you to celebrate by taking advantage of the many wonderful parks and trails only steps from your front door! 

Bring your sun lotion and get IN MOTION!

June 25 and August 6, 2017 • 11 am to 4 pm
Centennial Park
FREE entry to Centennial Beach, Tennis Moncton and Centennial Lawn Bowling Club.
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Regional Parks

The four regional parks are situated in each corner of the city adorned with beautiful greenery, wildlife and trails for walking, biking and running. Get back to nature and discover what’s waiting for you in Mapleton Park, Irishtown Nature Park, Centennial Park and Riverfront Park! 

Trail discovery time!

Whether you’re a newbie or veteran to the trails, we invite you take a hike and a bike ride….and discover your city!  Check out the Humphreys Brook Trail, Northwest Trail, Riverfront Trail and the Rabbit Brook Trail.  (Find park and trail maps on moncton.ca)

Playgrounds

There are 50 playgrounds in total located all over the city and 22 of those have water features to cool down on hot days! Find the playground locator map on moncton.ca and discover new places to play this summer! 

Water Fun and Swimming

Kiwanis Centennial Beach and all splash pads will open for the summer as of Saturday, June 24. Please note that the Centennial Park splash pad is closed until further notice, due to ongoing renovations.
Go swimming indoors at the YMCA of Greater Moncton for only 2$ on Sundays from 2:30 – 4:30 pm and Mondays and Wednesday from 2 – 4 pm. 

Walking Tracks

The Moncton Stadium, located on the Université de Moncton campus, has a “Walking and Running Club” open Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm for the general public. 
The Crossman Community Centre – Kay Arena’s track is open Sunday to Thursday from 9 am - 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, so come for a walk, run or roll!
