Sumner Park Grand Opening

MONCTON – The City of Moncton’s Parks & Leisure Services wishes to invite the community to the grand-opening of Sumner Park (170 Lorne Street) on Wednesday, August 21, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. This grand-opening/BBQ event hosted by Mayor George LeBlanc is part of the five year implementation of the Recreation Master Plan. Premier David Alward and the Honorable Marie-Claude Blais will also be present for the BBQ and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In case of rain, the ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, August 23rd (no BBQ).

Please note there will also be ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the following parks, to which the public is also invited:

  • Bond Park (216 Bond Drive), August 22, 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Gagnon Drive Park (139 Gagnon Drive), August 29, 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
