Upcoming Road Work

MONCTON – The City of Moncton would like to advise motorists the following road work in the upcoming days, weather permitting:

Lane reduction - Assomption Boulevard, between Main Street and Westmorland Street, will see lane reductions from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 8 to allow microsurfacing of the boulevard.

Lane reduction - Mapleton Road, between Mountain Road and Hopper Street, will see lane reductions from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 10 to allow microsurfacing of the road. 

Road closure - Highfield Street, between Campbell and Main Streets, will be closed to through traffic on Monday, August 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to replace valves in front of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. 

Road closure - St. George Street, between Dominion Street and Capitol Avenue, will be closed to through traffic from Monday, August 10 until Wednesday, August 12, to upgrade the water main and sewer system. Businesses along this section will remain accessible by taking side streets for access. 

Lane reduction - Lewisville Road, between Pleasant Street and Wheeler Boulevard, will see lane reductions from 6 a.m. to approximately 9 p.m. from Tuesday, August 11 to Wednesday, August 13 to allow resurfacing of the street. 

Delays are to be expected in the area as traffic will be slowed. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route to avoid the construction area.  

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and the motoring public.
