Water Service Interruption - Boil Water Advisory will be issued for residents affected

April 28, 2016

MONCTON – The City of Moncton would like to advise residents in the area of Elmwood Drive from Caledonia Road northerly to the city limits will have their water service interrupted beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 until 6 a.m. on Friday, April 29.

The water interruption is in conjunction with the New Brunswick Department of Infrastructure who are currently working on the widening of Elmwood Drive, which requires an installation of an isolation valve north of Ogilvie Brook.

Once water service returns, a Boil Order Advisory will be issued for the residents affected by the interruption. This is a precautionary measure to protect residents from any potential water contamination. Once two clean water samples are confirmed, the Department of Health will remove the Boil Water Advisory.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents.
