Winter Fun in February - Frosty Fridays/Snow Motion

January 29, 2013

MONCTON – The City of Moncton invites residents for weekends of winter fun in February.

Every Friday in February, starting February 1st, come to the Moncton City Hall skating rink for a night of skating and live music during Frosty Fridays.

Come with the family and skate from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and enjoy the live performances of local artists Steve LeBlanc and Jean-Marc LeBlanc from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, get in snow motion every Sunday in February from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a wide range of activities in Centennial Park and Mapleton Park.

On February 3rd, 17th and 24th, come to Centennial Park and enjoy an afternoon of skating, sliding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or walking in the trails. If that’s not enough, take a sleigh ride around the park while enjoying free hot chocolate, courtesy of Tim Hortons. Snowshoe and cross country ski rentals are available for free during the events.

On February 10th, make your way to Mapleton Park and go for a skate or a leisurely walk in the trails. Snowshoeing will also be available with free snowshoe rentals offered. Free hot chocolate will be served during the event, courtesy of Tim Hortons.

All events and activities are weather permitting. For more information on Frosty Fridays call 877-7700. For info on all snow motion activities, call 853-3516.
