Zoom on Moncton photography contest launched - Moncton125 Special Edition

April 23, 2014

MONCTON – Give us your best shots of Moncton, and you could win some great prizes or be featured on our Moncton125 special anniversary postcard! In 2015, Moncton will be celebrating its 125th anniversary, and to commemorate that milestone, the annual Zoom on Moncton amateur photography contest will be held throughout 2014 and 2015.

“Over the past 4 years, residents’ photos have given beautiful perspectives of our community, and participation has increased yearly. With Moncton’s 125th birthday coming up, I would encourage our local shutterbugs to really show us their favourite spots in town or what they love most about Moncton,” said Roxanne Richard, Cultural Development Officer for the City of Moncton.

The images must clearly showcase a Moncton scene or location. For this year’s special edition, submissions will be accepted over the next four seasons: Spring (May 1 to June 30), Summer (July 1 to August 31), Fall (September 1 to October 31), and Winter (November 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015). A random prize will be drawn among eligible submissions (one prize per season) and, in February 2015, the jury will select one grand prize winner per season.

Details, including full contest rules as well as Terms and Conditions, can be found online here
