Protect your home's water supply

Backflow, which reverses normal water flow to a home or business, can occur when the water supply is cut, such as in watermain breaks or during periods of high water flow due to nearby firefighting. This may allow contaminants to enter residential plumbing systems or the public water supply. Chemical applicators used by residents to spray fertilizers or pesticides on their yards and gardens may also contribute to water contamination.

Protect your drinking water from backflow contamination by installing a hose bibb vacuum breaker.
