Moncton has many fun things to do during the winter months. Visit one of our many beautiful parks or facilities to beat the chill and get moving. The winter season is a great time of year to really get to know our beautiful city! Happy adventures!

Outdoor skating rinks (weather permitting)

  • Centennial Park
    • (Kaboom Rink) for hockey only
    • Oval will be cleared if the weather permits 
    • NEW rink at Centennial Park, beside entrance
  • Victoria Park
  • Mapleton Park 
  • City Hall   

Snow Fun

Groomed cross country trails – Centennial Park 

Snowshoeing - Mapleton Park, Irishtown Nature Park and Centennial Park

Sliding – Centennial Park 


Sleigh rides – Centennial Park 

$135 flat rate for groups of up to 20 people for a 1 hour ride. 
To book a group sleigh ride contact the Centennial Outdoor Centre at 853-3507. 



Centennial Park: Ski and Snowshoe equipment

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4 – 7 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 10 am – 5 pm

Mapleton Park: Snowshoe equipment

Sundays: 12 – 5 pm


Skis: $10 (adult) $5 (youth)
Snowshoes: $5

Indoor Walking 

Outdoor Walking Trails 

Centennial Park, Riverfront Trail, Mapleton Park, Irishtown Nature Park, Northwest Trail, Humphrey’s Brook and Rabbit Brook Trails are all cleared for winter walking. View park maps here


Go swimming at the YMCA for just $2 every Sunday from 2:30 - 4:30 pm!
