Schools in motion

In motion schools value and actively promote the health benefits of physical activity and support opportunities for students and staff to be physically active on a regular basis.

Schools in motion

Ideas how to be "in motion" at school:

· School walks (the entire school starts the day with a 15-minute walk);
· Hallway dances;
· Extended recess time (providing structured and non-structured activity time);
· Activity theme weeks;
· Discover new types of physical activities; and
· Classroom "in motion" breaks (taking five to 10 minutes to do an active activity during class time).
