Moncton boasts a varied and vibrant cultural scene. In addition to enhancing the quality of life for residents and offering unique experiences to visitors, the cultural sector is also a driving force for the economic development of our city as well as an integral part of our community's identity. In addition to the numerous festivals and events that take place in the city, Moncton is also home to a wide-ranging collection of fine art, many of which are part of the City of Moncton's Fine Arts Collection.

Moncton City Council adopted a new Cultural Plan to direct the vision for the development of arts and culture over the coming years. This plan was a result of extensive consultation with many community stakeholders and organizations from a variety of key sectors. The newly formed Cultural Board will oversee the implementation of the actions outlined in the Cultural Plan.
