Neighbourhoods

Moncton’s Parks & Leisure Services is committed to promoting the development of unified neighbourhood groups or associations in the city and encouraging their input into programs and services that affect their neighbourhoods. Within the neighbourhood development area are the Neighbourhood Playground Program, the Block Party Program and the Outdoor Rink Program.

Neighbourhood Development

In an effort to promote the development of cohesive neighborhood groups or associations in the city, a Playground Program has been developed as part of the overall Neighbourhood Development program. It has been designed to encourage groups’ input into programs and services affecting their neighbourhoods.

The objective of the program is to encourage the involvement of neighbourhood groups in the program planning, facility development, safety and general operations of neighbourhood playgrounds. For more information, read the Neighbourhood Development Program Guidelines.
