Combination code for boating access - Irishtown Nature Park

INP Canoe
The 250 acre lake in Irishtown Nature Park can be used for non-motorized recreational boating. The boating season starts in the spring once all the ice has left and finishes once winter conditions arrive.

To access the lake, you need the combination code for the lock on one of the two gates leading to a boat launch. The first gate is accessed through the main parking lot off of Elmwood Drive and the second gate is accessed from the Canoe trail off of Caledonia Road. (see map)

After you register:

  • You will receive the combination code to unlock the gates (code opens both gates).
  • The code changes on the first Monday of every month.
  • You will receive an email notice to log in on this webpage with your email address to get the new code each month.
  • Notices will be emailed if the lake is closed for recreational purposes due to water quality.

Instructions

  • Please drop off your boat near the water then park your vehicle in the regular parking lots.
  • Boating is at your own risk. If water levels are high, use extreme caution around the spillway.
  • The gate MUST be locked at all times, ensure you close and lock it behind you.
  • Do not give the combination code to others.

Thank you for your cooperation and happy boating!
