National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)

The NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) is a course-based program that teaches coaches of all levels the skills they need to become better coaches. In many sports, it is required that the coaches have at least the first level and in some sports coaches are not able to have their teams compete at a provincial level until they have reached a certain level.

If you are interested in taking part in this program, contact Guy Thériault at 389-5911 or by e-mail.

Moncton Youth Recreation Assistance Program (MyRap)

MyRap logoThe City of Moncton has partnered with the YMCA of Greater Moncton to provide the Moncton Youth Recreation Assistance Program (MyRap). The City is providing $4,600 to this program, and also accepting sponsors to partner with to increase this funding.

MyRap provides limited financial assistance for children to participate in recreation programs who could not otherwise afford the registration fee or equipment. The purpose for this program is to give every child and family living in the City of Moncton the opportunity to participate in recreation activities.

To apply for one of the financial assistance programs, visit the YMCA of Greater Moncton, located at 30 War Veterans Avenue, or go to their website. The YMCA assesses the financial needs of each applicant and provides funding based on this assessment. Funding is provided directly to the organization requested.
