The City of Moncton’s Engineering and Environmental Services department is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of 450 km of roads and more than 400 km of sidewalks. The department also operates public parking facilities and parking meters, manages traffic, licenses and permits, and is responsible for snow removal. 

 

Did you know?

  • There are over 20,000 traffic signs and street name signs installed in Moncton.
  • Approximately 500 km of pavement markings are painted on city roads twice a year.
  • The City of Moncton uses environmentally-friendly water-based paint for all pavement markings.
