Seniors walking

Welcome to the seniors’ section of the City of Moncton’s website, where you can learn more about the many physical activities and leisure opportunities for older adults right here, in your city. Planning a senior friendly event? View our event planning section.

Seniors play an important role in the life of the community. As the population is aging, the City is looking for ways to respond to the needs of seniors. From increasing the frequency of our transit system and supporting Ability Transit, to maintaining numerous parks and walking trails, Moncton is a great place to live, for people of all ages.

If you have any suggestions to help us make this website meet your needs, we want to hear from you!

Seniors Registry

During a crisis or emergency, seniors who are living alone are often the most at risk. The registry allows seniors to submit their name and contact information to the Moncton Fire Department. In the event of an emergency, Moncton firefighters will contact the people listed on the registry to ensure that everyone is safe.

Call 506-857-8800 today to submit your name.
