The City of Moncton is following the recommendations of public health officials. Our Emergency Measures Operation Centre (EOC) is operating at Level 2- Partial Activation. As of March 18, 2020, the City of Moncton will transition from normal operations to a focus on maintaining essential programs and services only until further notice.



Building Permits - 2019 Year in Review

Building permits value surpass quarter billion mark for first time in 2019 - The City of Moncton has broken new ground when it comes to annual building activity with 2019 ending in $257.4 million dollars’ worth of building permits issued, an increase from $220.7 million in 2018.

Municipal parking lot gate automation upgrades

A new parking management system will be installed to replace the current – and outdated – technology.

2020 Budget: City of Moncton Holds the Tax Rate and Sees Positive Growth

Moncton City Council adopted its 2020 Budget during the December 2, 2019 Public Council meeting. Residents’ tax rate will remains at $1.6497 per hundred dollars of assessed value.
