Irishtown Nature Park Reservoir Closed to Recreation
The City of Moncton wishes to inform residents that due to cyanobacteria found during routine testing, the reservoir at Irishtown Nature Park is closed to recreational use until further notice. Kayaking, canoeing, and other recreational activities are prohibited, and pet owners are asked to keep their dogs out of the water and not let them drink or swim in the water.
Notices and signage have been posted. The City of Moncton will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any updates as conditions change. Routine testing is done on all municipally owned bodies of water.
