Codiac Transpo Announces Transit Service Improvements

Posted on August 10, 2026 in News

Codiac Transpo wishes to inform the public about upcoming service changes that will be implemented on Aug. 23. These changes are part of the ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and availability of public transportation within the region.

The most significant changes will take place in Dieppe, where new routes, increased service, and improved connections will enhance the transit network, making it easier and more convenient for passengers to travel through the region. The updated network will extend service to Lorette and along Dieppe Boulevard to the Melanson traffic circle and will introduce a new transfer point on Aquatique Street.

Effective Aug. 23, the following changes will come into effect:

In Dieppe:

  • Service will expand by approximately 300 hours weekly by introducing four new routes: 94 Centrale A, 96 Orange, 96 Orange A and 98 Chartersville.
  • As part of the network redesign, all Dieppe routes will be updated, and 95 Amirault will be discontinued.
  • 93 Champlain, 94 Centrale, and 96 Orange route will operate in both directions, providing passengers with more convenient travel options.
  • The new 98 Chartersville route will operate as a loop service. One bus will travel on an east loop serving the Lorette area before arriving at the Aquatic Hub and continuing on a west loop.
  • A second transfer hub has been added on Aquatique Street.

In Moncton:

  • 62 Hildegard will be modified to serve the YMCA Moncton North through an extension along Twin Oaks. The route will continue to the traffic circle at Ryan Street before returning to its regular route.
  • 67 Edinburgh will have two additional afternoon trips to provide more travel options throughout the day.
  • 66 Caledonia will be adjusted in the afternoon to serve Pine Tree before continuing to the Caledonia Industrial Park, making it easier for riders to return home after work.

All routes:

  • All routes across the tri-community will be fully accessible.
